What is a Gamma?
A Gamma is a strong and independent woman.
She is a woman who knows what she wants and will stop at nothing to achieve it.
A gamma is educated and strives to further her knowledge through the pursuit of life and happiness.
A gamma has gone through struggles,
but the only thing that sets her apart from any other woman in the world,
is that she knows how to persevere and conquer.
A gamma knows how to love and how to receive love in return.
She is motivated, enthusiastic, and proud of where she came from.
A gamma comes in all shapes, colors, sizes, and ethnicities.
She is who she is and lets no one put her down.
She is a rare jewel like an amethyst,
an exotic predator like a panther,
and a delicate flower like a pink rose.

Must be a full time student with a GPA of 2.6 or above if a continuing student or transfer OR GPA of 2.75 or above if a freshman

Recruitment is a time when incoming and returning students have a chance to stop by each Greek Organizations' table and learn briefly about them. This is done in the first few weeks of both the Fall & Spring semesters of each school year. We have 4 different councils on our campus, so make sure to look for us tabling with USFC, or the United Sorority and Fraternity Council. This council consists of the cultural organizations on our campus. Recruitment consists of one week of "tabling" or stopping by the tables, and one week of events hosted and sometimes co-hosted by another organization in the council. This gives potential new members a chance to look into the organizations that they think would best fit them.
Sigma Lambda Gamma will be out there with the rest of the USFC council during recruitment periods. You can find us with the SHOCKING PINK and MAJESTIC PURPLE set up! Don't be afraid to ask any questions you might have and feel free to reach out to us at any point in the year. Recruitment during Covid-19
If you are interested in learning more about Sigma Lambda Gamma and what our sisterhood encompasses, keep an eye out on Instagram for upcoming events, and how to join. We are currently in our Fall 2020 recruitment which is all being done virtually via Zoom. That means whether you are on the East Coast, Midwest, or here in San Diego, you can participate in all of our events and join our sisterhood ! We would love for you to join us and find out if being a Gamma is the right move for you.
